Arsenal Agree Personal Terms with Christian Mosquera, Prepare Improved Offer

Arsenal have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Valencia centre-back Christian Mosquera, as the Gunners push forward in their pursuit of the highly rated Spanish defender.

The Premier League side are now preparing a fresh offer after seeing their initial bid turned down.

According to sources close to the negotiations, Arsenal’s opening offer of €14 million (£12 million) was rejected by Valencia, who are holding out for a higher fee for the 19-year-old.

Despite the setback, discussions between the two clubs remain ongoing, with Arsenal determined to secure Mosquera’s signature.

The North London club is expected to return with a new proposal in excess of €20 million (£17 million) in hopes of convincing the La Liga side to part ways with the promising youngster.

Mosquera is seen as a long-term investment for Mikel Arteta’s squad, with his composure on the ball and physical presence fitting Arsenal’s style of play.

Valencia, dealing with ongoing financial constraints, may eventually be open to selling if the Gunners meet their valuation.

However, they remain reluctant to lose a player widely considered one of the most promising defenders in Spanish football.

Should the deal be finalized, Mosquera would join an Arsenal team looking to build on last season’s Premier League title push by adding depth and youth to their defensive line.
