Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has revealed his opinion during the post match interview tonight.

The former England midfielder disclosed that the team is still lacking plenty of improvement.

Lampard complained of fatigue and lack of training as an issue “in recent days”.

He says,

We showed a lot of good stuff’ tonight at a tough place to come. He stresses there is plenty of improvement to come from his team, particularly with fatigue and lack of training an issue in recent days.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard

He added, that he was really pleased with Timo Werner’s performance, notably his speed and quality. He pinpoints his movement as being key to tonight’s victory.

Furthermore, Lampard added that Werner got a dead leg in the penalty incident, but should be fine for next week. He adds Christian Pulisic had a bit of discomfort in the last few days and his progress will be monitored in the coming days.

Chelsea has started the Premier League 2020/2021 season with a 3-1 win against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The goals from Jorginho, Reece James and Kurt Zouma sealed the 3-point for the Blues during the season opening match.

New signing, Timo Werner played an amazing game and won the penalty which was later converted to goal in the first half.
