Lewis-Skelly Commits Future to The Gunners

Arsenal have secured the long-term future of one of their brightest academy talents, with Myles Lewis-Skelly signing a new five-year contract at the club.

The highly-rated midfielder, known for his composure on the ball and tactical maturity beyond his years, is seen as a key part of the Gunners’ next generation under Mikel Arteta.

Lewis-Skelly, 18, will remain at the Emirate as he enjoyed a stunning breakthrough season at the Gunners last term, as he earned his position in the first team.

The 18-year-old has caught the attention of many big sides from around Europe, including Real Madrid.

Transfer insider, Charles Watts, revealed that the young defender has penned a five-year deal with Arsenal.

Lewis-Skelly said to Arsenal.com, when asked about his expectations:

“I still have more expectations for myself. I want to achieve more. I want to strive higher. In terms of a personal standpoint, I just want more for myself, more for my team and to keep learning, as I keep mentioning before. Just growing as a person and the best person I can be for my teammates.”

The Gunners ace featured 39 times in all competitions last season, scoring his first senior goal in the 5-1 home win against Manchester City.
