Following a detailed financial review of club accounts, UEFA concluded that all five clubs breached rules aimed at promoting financial discipline and sustainability within European football.

Chelsea received the highest fine, totalling approximately £16.9 million (€20 million), while Spanish giants Barcelona were ordered to pay around £12.7 million (€15 million). In a statement, UEFA emphasized that the penalties are intended to reinforce accountability and ensure fair competition.

The clubs were found to have exceeded acceptable financial limits, particularly in relation to spending and revenue ratios over recent seasons.

UEFA warned that continued breaches of its financial regulations could result in harsher sanctions, including potential exclusion from European competitions.

All five clubs are expected to cooperate with UEFA’s financial monitoring body going forward and make necessary adjustments to meet compliance standards.
